Interiors argued from material, proportion and light

NOX is the Latin word for night. It names what we design for: not the plan seen from above, but the room as it is actually occupied — at breakfast, at work, and at the hour when the daylight has gone and the lighting has to carry the space alone.

We work from material, proportion and light. Every project is read three times before it is drawn: the site and its climate, the way the client will use the rooms, and the way the light will move through them across a day. The design that follows is spare because that reading was thorough, not because restraint is a style.

The studio works across the Gulf and the MENA region from Dubai, on private villas, offices and hospitality interiors — and publishes its completed work as a series of monographs.
